Health Services Academy Islamabad

The Health Services Academy (HSA) was established in 1988 to provide training for public health professionals. It gained autonomous status under the HSA Ordinance, 2002, and became Pakistan’s first Degree Awarding Institute (DAI) in Public Health in 2018. Initially offering short courses, HSA expanded its academic programs, introducing a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) in 1996, later upgraded to a two-year MSPH in 2006. It also offers PhD in Public Health, FCPS, MS in Health Economics & Management, and specialized diplomas.HSA prioritizes research, collaborating with international institutions and publishing the Pakistan Journal of Public Health. It also hosts the Annual Public Health Conference. With ongoing support from the Ministry of National Health Services Regulation and Coordination, HSA continues to lead in public health education, research, and policy development, striving to be a regional center of excellence.
